Artist Statement
I have had the pleasure of making jewelry for the past 45 years and it has been fun! My mom said I had quite an imagination and it really paid off. My Wacky jewelry is asymmetrical and colorful. I try to give us big girls something playful to wear!
Using sterling silver wire and sheet, I bend, texture, and rivet many of my pieces together for an unusual look. Then I just let my hands and little pliers do the creating. Using a cold connection technique, I rivet the pieces of sterling silver together after they have been oxidized and cleaned. They are light weight and strong. The beads on these pieces are made right here in Washington by friends of mine. The more solid pieces I call Simply Silver.
My work is sold at juried art shows here in Washington. I also have wholesale accounts around the US and I sell to many galleries.
